Here we find the Israelites being told to take the land before them, the land God promised to them. However, they did not go into the land to take possession even though 12 scouts told them the land was good.
How are you doing with taking possession of what God has promised you? Are you crossing into the land or standing at the border?
It is the wholehearted person who will be able to posses what God has promised. We may not have 12 scouts going before but one. Jesus is telling us, “The promises I have for you and peace I have is good.” Not to He is already before, behind, to the side, and inside us.
Live for God with all your heart and soul. The time has come for you to take possession of what He’s promised you.
It is truly amazing how a day can unfold. Your morning starts off with the regular routine with a few minor alterations and then it is off to the races. It is your familiar Tuesday with familiar things tasks, meetings, interactions, and plans. Then life through you a curve ball catching you unprepared.
For the last few weeks I’ve been going through the books of Psalms and reflecting on today I come across some words of encouragement God was giving me.
In Psalm 71, we find David asking God for help. He needed assurances of His nearness and comfort as he faced his enemies. “Be my rock of refuge, “David said, “to which I can always go…Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, help me.” Continuing on, “do not forsake me when my strength is gone…even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me.”
And His disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for Your house will consume Me.
